The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) and the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture have officially unveiled the endorsed schedule of events for the 2022 ‘December in GH’ campaign.

Veteran actor Fred Amugi is charging Corporate Ghana to put his face on a billboard and not wait until he is dead.

‘December in GH‘ is the country’s biggest celebration of all things, Cultural, Entertainment, Adventure, Nightlife, Fashion, Gastronomy, Tours and Community service.

Since 2019, the ‘December in GH’ event has become a magnet for many travelers, such that, it is firmly inscribed in their planner, and indeed, it is something to look forward to, for their holiday in Ghana.

For locals, it offers an opportunity to know what is going on around the country in December.

This year’s calendar includes over 90 events, duly endorsed by the ‘Beyond the Return Steering Committee.’

The calendar includes events taking place from November 2022 through January 2023.

Each year, some events have become favourites and therefore included in this year’s activities, such as Afrochella, Little Havana, Taste of Ghana, Afro Nation, YouTube Creators Festival, Westside Carnival, Rhythms on da Runway and the Roverman Productions Festival of Plays.

Some of the new events to the calendar include Ada Riverfest, Jollof & Afrobeat Festival, Afrobeats Bazaar, Ghana Water Polo Tournament, Nkyinkyim Museum Freedom Parade and First Time Home Buyers in Ghana Seminar.

In a trending video on social media, veteran Fred Amugi who celebrated his 74th birthday on, November 5 said that he does not want his image to be all over billboards after his death.

Fred Amugi is one of the prominent faces in the Ghanaian movie industry. He rose to prominence for his role in the 1985 television series “Opinto”.

He is most noted for his roles in Judgement Day, Holby City, Beasts of No Nation, and The Cursed Ones.

He has been nominated for and won several movie awards including the Ghana Movie Awards.

The nomination announcement of the 65th Annual Grammy Awards is scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2022.

Ghanaian music stars and lovers are hopeful for a possible nod in the prestigious Award.
