GHS COVID-19 vaccination campaign begins in Ashanti Region | GBC Ghana Online – The Nation’s Broadcaster

The Ashanti Regional Health Directorate is undertaking a COVID-19 vaccination campaign from the 9th to the 13th of November, 2022.
The Directorate hopes to vaccinate 203,480 people. The exercise is being sponsored by USAID and Jhpiego.
According to the Regional Health Director, Dr. Emmanuel Tenkorang, 814 vaccinators and 2,442 volunteers have been engaged for the exercise.
He said mobile teams will be moving from community to community and school to school during the period.
Dr. Tenkorang said so far, a total of 3,614, 834 doses have been administered in the region. Out of the number, 2,185, 712 people, representing 63.8% received at least one dose of the vaccine, with 1,485, 422 people, representing 43.3% have been fully vaccinated.
