Weed smokers beg President Akufo-Addo to solve the economic crises after increment of weed
Cannabis users in Ghana have reportedly expressed concerns about the increase in the cost of their favorite recreational good due to the country’s deteriorating economic position under Nana Akufo Addo.
According to information we obtained through word-of-mouth, marijuana users are unhappy that the price of their favorite drug has increased by $2.00.
Speaking to Ghanaweb, some ghetto guys lamented saying;
“Brother, in fact, things are difficult for us nowadays ooo. Now we cannot even buy one roll of ‘wee’ because the price has gone up by 100 per cent. How can common ‘wee’ be that expensive in Ghana at this time when things are difficult.”
An addicted weed user Shaifa, complained he has to buy 5 rolls of the drug which is amounted to ₵10.00 per before he will eat, drink and even take care of his family.
Asked whether the current price hike will deter him from using the herb, Shaifa said he cannot stop using the drug but has to reduce his daily intake in order to match his daily expenditure.
“I can’t stop smoking the weed because that keeps me going. It inspires me to work hard as a carpenter and I don’t think the price will deter me from using it but I think it all has to do with the poor economic state of Ghana”.
“We Ghetto guys voted for President Akufo-Addo so we are begging him to solve the economic crises so that the cost of weed can also be favourable to users” some angry weed users stated.
