Nigerian man hoists Labour Party flag on Mount Kilimanjaro (Video)

A Nigerian man simply known as Gershon, has mounted a Labour Party (LP) flag on Mount Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa.

He took to his Twitter page to make this known while sharing photos and videos from his daring expedition.

According to Gershon, the historic hoisting was done on October 20, 2022 after over 10 hours of trekking, hiking and climbing the mountain.

He said that he traveled to Tanzania for the sole purpose of putting up the flag on October 20 to mark the anniversary of the #Lekkishooting.

He said that planting an LP flag on Kilimajaro is his own contribution to the yearning for a new Nigeria as general elections draw nearer.

Gershon also said that there is no better place to announce the coming of a new nation.

The man wrote; ”On Fri, 20/10/2022 after 10½ hrs of climbing, hiking and trekking, I made it to the Uhuru Peak of Mount Kilimanjaro, 5,895m above sea level. There is no better place to announce the coming of a New Nigeria than the Rooftop of Africa. This is my contribution to the to the effort.

I did this with the hope that it could be useful one way or the other in the effort to birth a new Nigeria.”

In other news, an Ice cream seller melted hearts with his selfless act toward supporters of presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Peter Obi.

He was sharing free ice cream at a solidarity rally to Obi supporters who are known as Obidients.

A lady simply known as Dirichi, who realised what he was doing decided to filmed him until he was done distributing the treats.

The development took place over the weekend, but it is yet to be ascertained which location it happened as there were two rallies which held in Rivers state and Anambra for Peter Obi.

According to Dirichi, after she spotted him, she decide to observe and when he was done, she asked how many ice cream he shared.

The vendor said he gave out between 18 to 20 ice cream, his gesture moved the lady and she offered him N4,000 but he turned it down.
