Wizkid called out for not refunding ticket money months after canceling Canadian show
A Canada-based Nigerian entrepreneur, Mayowa George has called out Afrobeats superstar, Wizkid for collecting money for a concert which never held.
He was scheduled to have a show in Edmonton, Canada in January this year but it was canceled due to covid-19 restrictions.
Mayowa said that he just learnt Big Wiz has still not refunded the ticket money to fans, neither has he fixed a new date.
He noted that the tickets cost about 110 Canadian dollars, yet the Starboy entertainment founder has remained silent on refund or replacement show.
”Just found out that Wizkid was supposed to have a show in Edmonton in January, but didn’t show.
9 months later, no refunds, no new date. And tickets were like 110 or so,” he tweeted.

In other news, another concert scheduled to hold in Canada few weeks ago witnessed a dramatic twist following a change in the performing artistes’ lineup.
Nigerian songstress, Tems, had reportedly been billed to perform at Manifesto Festival in Canada but was unable to make it due to visa issues.
The organisers then decided to replace her with music star, Davido, but fans expressed displeasure with the choice especially as he was made to headline the show alongside DVSN.
In reaction to the development, fans who did not accept the new arrangement began to demand refund of their money.
