Gongo Aso was originally offered to Ruggedman but he rejected it
Nigerian music producer, ID Cabasa has revealed that he initially offered the beat for the hit song, Gongo Aso song to rapper, Ruggedman.
According to him, Ruggedman refused to accept the song so he later gave it to 9ice and it became a nationwide hit.
ID Cabasa made this known during an interview with Jahbless on Original Intelligence Podcast.
He, however, said that 9ice had first recorded Gongo Aso with a different beat but after he sampled another song and used the beat on it, he called back the singer to record the Gongo Aso again.

In other entertainment news, Nigerian singer cum songwriter, Adedamola Adefolahan better known as Fireboy DML, has revealed how he made the song, Peru.
He said that some part of the lyrics was inspired by DMW artiste, Peruzzi, who usually uses a hook on his songs.
Fireboy noted that when he said ”I’m looooo, Peru don dey para”, that it was an allusion to Peruzzi.
Speaking in a recent interview with Ebro Darden on Apple Music 1, the YBNL Nation added that he recorded the song because he found himself in the United States for the first time.
He said that he experienced a writer’s block prior to that time, so recording Peru was a spontaneous move.
The Vibration crooner said that he was almost depressed at the time and when he landed in Miami, USA, he was intrigued by the feeling and experience after visiting a strip club.
