Emmanuel Iorliam, a serving Nigerian Army private, was detained for running a gun from Mainok in Borno state’s 156 Task Force Battalion.
Iorliam, a native of the state of Benue, is accused of stealing weapons and ammunition from his camp and selling them to bandits, Boko Haram members, and kidnappers. While transporting the ammunition stockpile out of Borno State to give to his clients, he met his Waterloo.
At a checkpoint, he was stopped by his teammates, who searched him and discovered that he was in possession of the stolen ammo.
His coworkers caught him with the stolen goods as seen in a video that was posted online.
