I sold our daughter for $500,000 – Ghanaian man reveals on TV
Another episode of the well-liked Confessions program, which is broadcast on TV3, included a compelling story told by a Ghanaian father about how he sold his daughter while his wife was distracted.
After first telling his wife that their kid was going to live with his brother there, he allegedly sold his daughter for $500,000 USD in the form of adoption to someone who was residing in the US.
The fact that his wife has threatened to locate their daughter, who he claimed was residing with his brother abroad, has started giving him problems.
He told the host of the program Nancy saying, “I have been married for some years, and we have two children. A year ago, I told my wife that my brother in the States is preparing documents to take one of our daughters abroad because it’s not been good for us for some time. We were facing difficulties and all that.
The unidentified man went on to say that he lied to his wife because strangers, not his brother, would be receiving the child.
“I didn’t tell her the actual thing. What happened was that I sent our daughter away, and she’s never coming back. I signed off the adoption papers.”
“There’s a man and his wife in the States who are finding it difficult to give birth. Somebody linked me to them. They told me they have half a million dollars in exchange for a child. This money could change my life and my wife’s life. Things were so difficult. And from where I am coming from, and my wife is coming from, there’s no help,” he confessed to Ms. Nancy.
A young man eventually admits to giving their only daughter up for adoption with a stranger in the US for $500,000 after lying to his wife about sending her to his brother.
