Police arrest popular musician Ice Prince
The Lagos state police command has detained well-known Nigerian singer Ice Prince for kidnapping and assaulting a police officer.
According to a report from Vanguard, Ice Prince was pulled over by a police officer for a routine check around 3:00 am on Friday, September 2 when the officer noticed that he was driving without a license plate.
According to the complaint posted by Vanguard, Ice Prince, who had initially agreed to be quickly escorted to the station, kidnapped the police officer in his car, attacked him, and threatened to throw him into the lagoon.
The Oleku hitmaker was arrested, according to information provided by SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command.
He also said the rapper would be arraigned today.
According to Hundeyin “at about 3a.m @Iceprincezamani was stopped for driving without license plates. He agreed to be taken to the station.
He, thereafter, abducted the police officer in his car, assaulted him, and threatened to throw him in the river. He has been arrested and would be arraigned today.”
