An collision at Kpalkori on the Tamale-Yendi road in the Northern Region involved 16 passengers, including two children.
On Tuesday, July 19, 2022, a Metro Mass Transit bus headed for Tamale was involved in an accident.
While 10 other people who had minor injuries were treated and released from the Tamale Teaching Hospital, the 16 injured are continuing undergoing care there.
According to the passengers, the bus’s driver lost control of the vehicle after dozing off behind the wheel when there were roughly 67 passengers on board at the time of the event.
The bus then overturned into a ditch at Kpalkori on the Yendi-Tamale route before colliding with a bridge.
