‘My ex-boyfriend used to assault me because of Shatta Wale and Adebayor’ – Actress Chichi
a Liberian who now resides in Ghana, claims that her ex-boyfriend used to physically abuse her because she was friends with Togolese footballer Emmanuel Adebayor and Ghanaian dancehall musician Shatta Wale.
The actress claimed that although she was unsure of the full degree of her ex-issues, boyfriend’s he allegedly physically beat her on a regular basis.
She remembered the day her ex-boyfriend beat her till she was covered in blood, so she knew she spoke to Shatta Wale on the phone frequently.
“I don’t know what exactly was wrong with this boy. Maybe he was a bipolar patient because he used to beat me sha. I remember a time he caught me chatting with Shatta Wale. He really beat me up,” the Liberian actress opened up to blogger, ZionFelix.
She claimed that things deteriorated once he found out she was in touch with the Togolese striker, Emmanuel Adebayor.
She says the assault she experienced this time landed her in the hospital.
The actress realized that, for her own safety at this moment, she had to take her own road.
She said, “There was a time he saw me chatting with Adebayor, for that one, I woke at the Legon hospital, it was that time I knew I had to break up with this guy else I could die.”
The actress claimed that her unpleasant experience with young men helped her make the decision not to be in a romantic relationship with them.
